Dubai Bank continues Emiratisation recruitment and training ...A group of ten UAE graduate Nationals were recruited at Dubai Bank through its National recruitment program, Ar-Ruwwad. The group will be placed on a one year training and development program that will prepare them for careers in banking. Following HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Makhtoums Directive on Nationalization, Dubai Bank introduced its National recruitment program a year ago. Dubai Bank has already completed the training for its first group of trainees that have graduated and are now working in the Banks various business divisions.The training model to be used for UAE National development will consist of a combination of classroom and on-the-job based training interventions to equip participants with knowledge and skills required for a banking career.Mr. Abdul Aziz Al Muhairi, CEO of Dubai Bank recently met the new recruits and encouraged them to be diligent, and to make maximum benefit of this training opportunity. read more. Standard Chartered legal chief in move to DubaiStandard Chartered group head of legal David Brimacombe is jetting off to Dubai to take up a new position at the bank, leaving the organisation to search for a successor in London. Brimacombe is moving to the Gulf in the next few months to help drive forward the bank's operations in the region. The bank has not yet made a decision on his replacement in London. Meanwhile,Standard Chartered has hired its first-ever employment specialist. Rebecca Priestley will join the bank's London legal team from Simmons & Simmons in August. She will be looking after employment issues across all of the bank's 56 locations. Brimacombe said: "This is very much a global role. Rebecca will be working with the legal team and the HR team on employment issues across all our offices." Sobha John, aides in judicial custodyThe Ernakulam Chief Judicial Magistrate Court remanded the trio arrested in connection with the extortion and manhandling of Sabarimala tanthri Kadararu Mohanaru till August 17. Sobha John (38), the main alleged conspirator in the case who is also a known name in several sex racket cases and Vigil (32) and Anil Kumar (36), Sobha's driver and helper respectively were produced before the court at 11.00 am and after a brief hearing, the magistrate remanded them in judicial custody. They were then taken to the Ernakulam sub-jail. Ernakulam Chief Judicial Magistrate P D Sharanghdharan posted an application for the police custody of the accused for hearing till Friday.
