Firms with over 100 staff 'must' emiratise HR postsDubai: Companies with more than 100 employees will have to emiratise their national human resources managerial positions, according to an administrative decision issued by the Ministry of Labour yesterday. The decision issued by Dr Khalid Al Khazraji, Labour undersecretary and Acting Director-General of the National Human Resources and Employment Authority (Tanmia), stipulates that companies with over 100 employees will have to emiratise their human resources managerial positions within 18 months. The process must start immediately. If these companies find it difficult to meet this target, they have the option to emiratise human resources positions in two phases. In the first phase, they must emiratise 50 per cent of all human resources positions within 18 months. read more. SAAG RR Infra bags Rs 3.18 cr order from DegremontMumbai: Construction company SAAG RR Infra Ltd has bagged an order worth Rs 3.18 crore from water treatment company Degremont Ltd for undertaking construction work at a water treatment plant in Karnataka.The order entails carrying out civil construction works for a 100 MLD (million litres per day) water treatment plant, which is on the premises of an existing 270 MLD plant at T K Halli, Karnataka.The company informed the Bombay Stock Exchange that it would commence work from August 3 and complete it within four months.Shares of the company were up 7.25 per cent, trading at Rs 33.30 on the BSE. . read more. Zimbabwe's Zambezi Cheetahs last played in Dubai in 2003, and although they played in George last year, Dubai is their first major tournament in three years. Zimbabwe earns their invitation on their spirited showing at George last year, the European tour and the Mosi and Tusker tournaments this year. "That's what we have been working hard for since 2003," Bruce Hobson, the national sevens manager, said. "It is the full benefit of all the work that we have put in. Our potential is increasing all the time." Over 90 per cent got jobs under rural employment schemeNew Delhi: More than 90 per cent of job applicants have been given employment under the national rural employment guarantee act, the Rajya Sabha was informed today."Out of 7,328,551 persons who have demanded employment (under the NREGA), 6,886,729 have been provided, which is 93.97 per cent," Minister of State for Rural Development Suryakanta Patil said in a reply.The Minister, however, admitted that a range of factors, such as state elections and shortage of staff and training, did slow down the progress of the rural employment programme in certain areas initially.But progress considerably improved after separate funds came in provide training for the programme, she said."Besides, instructions have been issued by the Central government from time to time for effective implementation of the act by the states." Sanitation: The Delhi government has made no request to the Centre to be part of its total sanitation campaign (TSC), Minister of State for Rural Development A Narendra said in a reply.The campaign is, however, under implementation in 559 rural districts across the country, he said."All the remaining districts in the country will be covered during the eleventh plan." Jharkhand Roads: The Jharkhand government has spent Rs 64.78 crore out of Rs 170 crore of the Central allocation in 2005-06 under the Pradhan mantri Gram Sadak Yojna, the Rajya Sabha was informed.In 2004-05, it spent Rs 95.08 crore out of Rs 110 crore on rural road-laying under the scheme, Patil said. read more. LCL Corp associate lands RM68.8m Dubai jobLCL Corporation Bhd said its associated company in Dubai, LCL Interiors LLC (LCL Interiors) has received a letter of acceptance from CSHK Dubai Contracting (LLC) (CSHK) for interior finishes sub-contract works worth RM68.8 million for the service apartment in the Burj Dubai Development. In a statement on July 26, the company said that LCL Interiors was awarded the sub-contract works for all interior finishes to the service apartment (17th to 41st floor), the front of the house areas and interior finishing of the four passenger lift cabs on July 24. LCL Corporation said the sub-contract works would commence immediately with completion scheduled for October 2007, and is expected to contribute positively towards its earnings for the current financial year.
