Schneider slams GibsonNew York: Actor Rob Schneider publicly announced that he would never work with Mel Gibson due to the anti-Semitic remarks he made when he was arrested recently.According to hollywood.com, Schneider took out an ad in Variety titled "An Open letter to the Hollywood Community". It said: "I, Rob Schneider 1/2 Jew, pledge from this day forth to never work with Mel Gibson, actor-director-producer and anti-Semite." (PTI): IT majors Tata Consultancy Services and Wipro have evinced interest in acquiring land for setting up campuses at Infopark at nearby Kakkanad, Chief Minister V S Achutanandan said on Friday. The Chief Minister, who visited the Infopark on Friday morning and spent about 20 minutes talking to officials, later told reporters that about 25,000 people would get employment by 2008 when the development of the park would be more or less completed. Bahrain Blaze Survivors to Sue Construction FirmBahrain, Aug 5: The survivors of Sundays labour-camp fire in Bahrain, in which 17 Indian workers lost their lives and nine were injured, have decided to file a class action civil suit against their employer, the Royal Tower Construction Company. The survivors have refused to go back to work unless the company improves their living conditions, according to a report in the Gulf Daily News newspaper. The case would be in addition to criminal charges that are expected to be pressed against the company, the report quoted Indias Ambassador to Bahrain Balkrishna Shetty as saying. The workers case could lead to payout of hundreds of thousands of Bahraini dinars by the company to the workers, he said. Investigations are now under way by the public prosecutor to ascertain whether there was criminal intent and charges are expected to be filed in a few days, Shetty told a press conference. read more.
